| My real name is Martin Whittaker,I'm 17 but an August birthday, I live in Cumbria, Northwest England,I'm a christian,I have a twin brother, my artwork has been influenced mainly by painters like Caravaggio and the painters of the Dutch republic like Jan Steen, Ostade and Schalken.My artwork is mainly illustrative yet I have been expanding to portraiture,watercolour landscapes and oil paints! My interests include rugby Union, archaeology, history, art of course and just hanging around with mates or wandering the many fells in the lake district. I draw on many historical and legendary sources for my illustrations. I aspire to be like John Ruskin to find meaning through simple art of natural subjects and architecture but at the moment I will keep with what I'm doing! wow that was pretty high fluted for a northerner! seriously now don't even attempt to take most of my artwork seriously, it's folklore! it's just crazy!!! Let the madness of begin!!!!! Let's bring back the simple pen and ink illustration!! Oh i have also started writing novels and short stories, a fantasy series, historical horror, and historical adventure, but i won't be writing them on here...... it's far too easy to steal my ideas  |
